Biography

George L Smyth began to seriously study photography upon his return from an extended trip to Wales in 1992. After experimenting to find his personal style, he decided to concentrate on pinhole and alternative process photography.

A member of the Bowie-Crofton Camera Club since 1992, one of the largest in the Washington-Baltimore area, he has won numerous awards, including Photographer of the Year and Master of Photography. He is a regular lecturer on pinhole and infrared photography, and has offered numerous presentations to area clubs, as well as presenting to PhotoPro Expo twice.
